I could hardly believe it when i heard the news today.
How could it be true?How could you be taken away.

We will miss your smiling face; no one else could ever
take your place.
Come rain or shine you were there, showing everyone you cared.

You left without a word our grief is so hard to hide.
God took a shining star to be right by his side.

You shone like a star in the sky, so bright, sent from above to show us the light.
When i see the brightest star, I shall knwo just where you are.

Whisked away at 23 years of age- you had so much to give. Always a friendly face, giving so much to so many.

D is for David who's in all of our hearts
A is for always, we will never forget
V is for victory,in the stock car
I is for idolise, as so many do
D is for Delvin, his home, his family & friends

You left a void so deep that no one else can fill
We miss you David, and we always will.

footprints

one night a man had a dream
in which he walked along the sand
and beside him walked the lord
who held him by the hand
suddenly scenes from his life
began to flash across the sky
and with his every footprint
he saw the lords nearby
then his heart became despondent
for, when troubled times hed seen
there was only one set of footprints
where before two sets had been seen
so he said to the lord
why wern,t you at my side
at those times when i needed you
as my friend and my guide?
the lord answered kindly,
the footprints that you see
are those times when i carried you
and they were made by me
